Announcement of the PCaPAC2005

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that we will hold PCaPAC2005, the 5th International Workshop on Personal Computers and Particle Accelerator Controls, at Hayama in Japan on March 22-25, 2005. The Workshop is sequel to the last Workshop held on October 14-17, 2002 at the Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati (LNF). The main objectives of the workshop are to discuss every kind of issues of the use of PCs for controls of accelerators and to give people who working in this field, scientists, engineers and technicians, a forum of discussion and opportunities to understand each other. We have already witnessed great outcomes from the former workshops of this series and sincerely hope and are willing to work to make the Workshop fruitful.
The Workshop is hosted by High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK), with substantial collaboration with Tsinghua University in China. We are also seeking the possibility to host the workshop together with SOKENDAI, the Graduate University for Advanced Studies. SOKENDAI is a graduate school jointly operated by many research institutes in Japan and KEK is one of the largest participants in this activity.
The Workshop will be held on March 22-25, 2005 at the SOKENDAI Hayama campus. Hayama is a city located 50 km south of Tokyo and on a small hill in the city we have the SOKENDAI headquarters. If we are lucky we can enjoy very beautiful view of Mount Fuji from the site. We can accommodate all participants in a hotel 200 m away from the SOKENDAI campus.
All the relevant information will become available on the following Workshop Website from early next month:
